Dear Yuletide Author,
First of all, I am so excited that you're writing for me, so thank you very much! I'm psyched to read whatever it is, and I'm overwhelmed with the Yule spirit. :) Thanks so much for my gift fic! I hope you enjoy writing it as much as I'm going to enjoy reading it!
Pitch Perfect RPF: Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow
Hahahahahaha, these fucking idiots.
Okay. If you visit my Tumblr, it will be QUITE APPARENT that I'm obsessed with Pitch Perfect. As my friend put it, "I think your love is so obvious that I wouldn't be surprised if one day you told a story about a total stranger telling you about it as they pass by." Uh, this was in regards to the Pitch Perfect sequel being announced and consequently, a million people contacting me to let me know. NOT EMBARRASSING AT ALL, RIGHT? Um, anyway, right. I feel like if you opted to write for them, you've already seen their dumb press tour and their stupid Instagram comments and just THEMSELVES, IN GENERAL.
I would be interested in anything with them and kissing, pretty much. Kendrick ruins my life on a daily basis, so you know, I'm pretty invested already. Really can't do anything wrong. :D
The Miseducation of Cameron Post -- Emily M Danforth: Cameron Post, Coley Taylor, Irene Klausen
The thing about this is that I don't even know if I want mostly gen or what. As much as I would love to see Cameron Post in her new life, I would equally love to see the future of Coley Taylor or Irene Klausen. These characters were all so fully realized, and I'm fascinated by their individual internal struggles (Coley's and Irene's we can only guess at -- but that's what fic is for!). I would LOVE for them to see Cameron again, romantically or not. I guess I'm saying that I'd read anything, because this book is just so amazing.
Lizzie Bennet Diaries: Gigi Darcy, Lydia Bennet
I don't know if I have more to add to this. I think they are so incredibly compatible, and I love awesome girls in love.
Also, we've all read
allthingsholy's amazing, phenomenal get loved, make more, right? Because that kind of got me into this mess.
15 Ways to Stay Alive -- Daphne Gottlieb: Any
I pretty much feel like if you look at my general likes and dislikes, and write anything, I will be cool with that. If you want more specific guidelines -- any of the fandoms I enjoy that you can see either here or on Tumblr, I would 100% read this for. Like 120%, really. :D This is also the only one where I'd be okay with a vague and open-ended, angst-ier ending.
Also, here's when I reblogged this poem on Tumblr with my tags. :D
IN GENERAL...
Stuff I Like: When characters stay in character, banter, sarcasm, kisses on the nape of the neck, humor, when girls fall for other girls, sex with plot, Christmas, delightful dialogue, understated writing, awesome!girl friendships, and unusual timelines (like...narrative timelines, does that even make sense?), AUs, happy endings.
Stuff I Don't Like: Porn without plot, a fic entirely made up of character introspection, any character bashing, cheating, character death, ladybashing (hate hate hate it), noncon, gratuitous violence, canon rehashing, angst without a happy ending.
I do really adore AUs. ALL OF THE AUs. I also love the unexpected baby acquisition trope, as well as the pretend-to-be-married trope, and forced to share bed trope, and all of those amazing things.
(Also, if you, for whatever reason, wanted to do a MASSIVE CROSSOVER OF EVERYTHING, or of just two of those things, I'd uh, be pretty into that, so.)
You can check out my favorite stories on Pinboard, if that helps you at all. I haven't updated that in ages, but it should give you a rough idea. My fic masterlist is available on the top of this LJ (I'm sure you scrolled past it), and my Tumblr has loads of stuff I enjoy, plus a gratuitous amount of Pitch Perfect stuff.
If you need a Real Person to speak to about what I would enjoy, please feel free to contact my roommate and best friend,
kindness_says for all my fic needs. She is very capable of handling any and all queries.
Have a happy holiday season, mystery author! Thank you once again!

I love these two idiots so, so much and there are like THREE GOOD FICS of them, which is such a bummer. I just want makeouts. Why is this so difficult? Confession: I started writing a Sendrick college!AU that may or may not be finished, but like, I WOULD GLADLY READ ANY AND ALL AUs YOU'D BE WILLING TO WRITE???? OR ANYTHING??? I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Their friendship! And the press tour! I MEAN COME ON YOU TWO. (The Instagram comments. I CAN'T.)

The Miseducation of Cameron Post -- Emily M Danforth: Cameron Post, Coley Taylor, Irene Klausen
Oh god, where do I even start? Okay, this is like the ultimate book as far as YA novels go. It's just staggering. I think Cam Post is one of my absolute favorite fictional characters of all time, if not THE absolute favorite. I really, really want her to have escaped to the West Coast after the book ends, to make it. To get a job, to kiss women, to be happy and healthy. But I've also wondered just WHAT HAPPENS to Coley and Irene, in their own lives. Does Coley go to college and experiments with other girls? How DOES Irene handle boarding school and a boyfriend? Do they see Cameron again (please please please)? WHAT HAPPENS???
The thing about this is that I don't even know if I want mostly gen or what. As much as I would love to see Cameron Post in her new life, I would equally love to see the future of Coley Taylor or Irene Klausen. Um, this couple makes so much sense to me, and they should be together? I'm just SO INTO IT. I've weirdly really wanted a high school or college AU for them, but like...so many fics would be awesome. Like, slow-burn fics where they become friends and then work their way up to kissing and being in love, and it's just...both of them got so fucked over by Wickham, and they both deserve love, and I think they can really be that person for each other?
I don't know if I have more to add to this. I think they are so incredibly compatible, and I love awesome girls in love.

UGGGGH. So, this poem ruined me. And honestly, I would take anything. ANYTHING. I just -- the visceral, twisting feeling of this poem is so amazing. I would love for something reminiscent of that. I WOULD ALSO PARTICULARLY LOVE FEMMESLASH FOR THIS, as it's a queer poet, and I just, OOF. YES PLEASE. Thank you! :) (Also, ps, crossovers for this = A+++).
